Pinnacle Volleyball is excited to continue the tradition of selling PINK PETE T-shirts as part of our Breast Cancer Awareness game. This season, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Happily Ever After League (HEAL)—a local nonprofit that supports about 40 mothers each year as they recover from cancer treatment.

About HEAL
 

HEAL provides critical assistance with out-of-pocket medical costs, like covering the placement of a port so a mom could receive life-saving chemotherapy, as well as everyday needs such as household supplies and even holiday gifts for children. Most of the moms are referred by medical case workers who know these families need immediate financial help to continue treatment.

Meet Jamie Kar – HEAL Recipient
 

We are honored to share a special message from Jamie Kar, an elementary school teacher in the Scottsdale Unified School District. Jamie is a single mom of two daughters (one in high school, one in college) and has been in remission for five years.

 

In this short video, Jamie shares what it meant to have HEAL step in and help cover expenses during her treatment, and the hope it gave her family during one of the most challenging times of their lives.
